Cardinal CSD Special Education Teacher, Mrs. Ward.

posted August 14, 2023

Beth Greiner-Ward joins us this year to teach special education. We are so excited to have her on our team! We asked her some questions so you could get to know her a bit before the school year begins.

Why did you want to teach at Cardinal?
Cardinal is known for its innovation in education and the excellence it strives and achieves on a daily basis so I want to be a part of that.

How long have you been teaching?
I have been in the field of education for over 20 years.

What do you like about teaching special education?
I like the fact that no two days are exactly alike.

What is your favorite part of being a teacher?
Watching students grow from year to year.

What is your ultimate goal as a teacher?
To prepare students for the larger world around them.

What do you hope students take away from your class this year?
The positivity and power of "Yet"; students may not be able to do something yet, they haven't learned something yet. Continual exploration and learning is part of a full life experience.

Fun Facts/Hobbies:
I have been married to my husband, Geoff, for 33 years and we have three adult children. In my free time, I like to read, go to concerts, travel, canoe, attend Iowa Hawkeye Football games, and hang with family.

From our first interaction with the staff at Cardinal schools, we felt at home. The entire staff is amazing and we feel that we have a trusted partner in our children’s education. The greatest testament to their success is that our kids love going to school. There is nothing more welcoming as a parent than to have a school that you trust to take care of the most precious thing in your life. Cardinal School District does just that.
