Cardinal CSD 6th Grade Teacher, Mr. Youngblut

posted August 25, 2022

Michael Youngblut is joining the Cardinal team this year to teach 6th grade math and social studies. We are so excited to have him teaching our students! We asked him some questions so you could get to know him a bit as the school year begins.

Why did you want to teach at Cardinal?
I have always heard amazing things about Cardinal. Also, now I’m in the same district as my mom!

How long have you been teaching?
Eight years.

What do you like about teaching math?
Math has always been my favorite subject in school. I love how it’s a skill that can help make life a lot easier.

What is your favorite part of being a teacher?
Seeing growth in students both academically and as a person. I love seeing the progress throughout the year.

What is your ultimate goal as a teacher?
For every student to understand that I care about them and want them to be the best person that they can be. I hope to help them reach their full potential and chase their dreams.

What do you hope students take away from your class this year?
The understanding that education is the most powerful thing that can help to get them anywhere in life.

Fun Facts/Hobbies:
My fun fact is that I was born on Friday the 13th. My family is sports obsessed and we spend almost all of our free time at some type of sporting event.

From our first interaction with the staff at Cardinal schools, we felt at home. The entire staff is amazing and we feel that we have a trusted partner in our children’s education. The greatest testament to their success is that our kids love going to school. There is nothing more welcoming as a parent than to have a school that you trust to take care of the most precious thing in your life. Cardinal School District does just that.
