Top Workplaces Celebration

Cardinal Community School District has been named an Iowa Top Workplace of 2022 by the Des Moines Register! This is the district’s fourth year in a row receiving the honor.

“We are so thankful to have this title again for 2022,” Joel Pedersen, Cardinal superintendent says. “This confirms to us that last year’s choices and decisions are building off the previous years’ to move the district forward.”

Top Workplaces are awarded based on anonymous employee engagement surveys that measure how employees feel about workplace values, employee appreciation, employee development, retention, pay, leadership and more. This year’s survey results showed increased overall scores and staff engagement from the previous year.

“It’s been a focus for our district to improve the quality of life for our employees,” Mr. Pedersen says. “The annual survey gives us a better idea of how we’re meeting that goal and how we can improve. Thank you to everyone who participated.”

We are honored to receive this award for another year and will work hard for our staff members to continue to live up to that title.

“We appreciate every member of our team for all they do for our students,” Mr. Pedersen says. “The least we can do is provide them with a positive and supportive workplace environment. We’ll always strive to be a top workplace for our team!”

The mission of the Cardinal Community School is to foster an enriching environment and channel the energies of students to achieve their fullest potential.
