We are so glad to have Dylan Defenbaugh joining our team this year to teach high school social studies. This will be his first year of teaching, and we are so glad it’s with us! We asked Mr. D some questions so that you can get to know him a bit before the school year begins.

Why did you want to teach at Cardinal?
The success that the school has shown to not only students but teachers as well.

What do you like about teaching social studies?
They give an insight to how the world really works.

What is your favorite part of teaching?
Seeing the students thrive in their understanding of the world around them

What is your ultimate goal as a teacher?
For every student to see the importance of the social studies.

What do you hope students take away from your class this year?
That it is okay to be you, do the things in this world that make you happy.

Fun Facts/Hobbies:
I am married to a teacher (Taelor Defenbaugh) and we live with our dog Birdie.
Love to watch football, hunt, fish, and be outside.
