Meet New High School Math Teacher Mrs. Hadley!
posted September 16, 2026
Bethany Hadley joins us this year to teach high school algebra, geometry, and business math! Mrs. Hadley has been teaching for sixteen years (five years at Sigourney, four years at Pekin, and six years at Oelwein), and we are so excited to have her on our team! We asked her some questions so you could get to know her a bit before the school year begins.
Why did you want to teach at Cardinal?
I love working in smaller schools and I think Mr. Hadley is a pretty cool boss!
What do you like about teaching math?
I like that math has a clear black and white answer even if we can all get their different ways.
What is your favorite part of teaching?
I love seeing when students "get it" and the light bulb goes on.
What is your ultimate goal as a teacher?
I want to help students to be prepared for their adult life and know they are cared for.
What do you hope students take away from your class this year?
I want all students to find success and show growth in what they can do.
Fun Facts/Hobbies:
Mr. Hadley and I have been married almost 24 years and have two children. Selah, 20, attends Warburg for elementary education and Isaiah, 16, is a sophomore at Pekin High School. I recently learned to crochet and will often have a project with me at sporting events.
