Meet New Elementary Special Education Teacher Mrs. Troutman!
posted September 1, 2026
We are so glad to have Adrienne Troutman joining our team this year to teach elementary special education! This will be her first year of teaching, and we are so glad it’s with us! We asked Mrs. Troutman some questions so that you can get to know her a bit before the school year begins.
Why did you want to teach at Cardinal?
I have heard endless good things about the Cardinal community and I wanted to see what it was all about!
What do you like about teaching elementary special education?
I like that each day is different and it's a constant challenge to figure out what is going to work best to support our students and what part I play in that support.
What is your favorite part of teaching?
I love being able to show our students love and see those lightbulb moments when an idea finally clicks.
What is your ultimate goal as a teacher?
My ultimate goal is to let each child know that they are loved and safe when they are with me. If I am able to reach just one child, I will have successfully done my job.
What do you hope students take away from your class this year?
I hope our students walk away with self-regulation strategies and problem-solving skills that they can seamlessly apply during their day to day life. I also hope that when they leave my room they have an inherent feeling that they are loved and safe.
Fun Facts/Hobbies:
I live with my husband and our two dogs Baxter and Cruz. In my free time I enjoy hunting and going on side by side rides with my husband.
