We’re happy to welcome new 3rd grade teacher, Lindy Wright to the Cardinal team! This is Ms. Wright’s first year of teaching, and we are so glad she gets to spend it with us! We asked her some questions so you could get to know her a bit before the school year begins.

Why did you want to teach at Cardinal?
I wanted to influence my future students to be motivated to learn as well as spread kindness and positivity. #spreadorange!

What do you like about teaching 3rd grade?
What I love the most about the grade/subjects I will teach is the fact that I will get the opportunity to help my students grow and develop socially, emotionally, and academically while they are in my classroom. I'm looking forward to the fact that every day will bring something new to learn whether it be for them or me!

What is your favorite part of teaching?
My favorite part of being a teacher is that I get the opportunity to uplift, encourage, and inspire children. I'm grateful I have been given a career where I get to interact with and inspire kids!

What is your ultimate goal as a teacher?
My ultimate goal as a teacher is that my students will learn to love learning as well as be encouraged to be kind, compassionate, and understanding of those around them.

What do you hope students take away from your class this year?
What I hope my students take away from my class this year is that I cared about them. I want them to know that they are important, loved, and valued. In addition, I want them to know they taught me just as much as I taught them. We made a difference together.

Fun Facts/Hobbies:
I grew up in a family with three older sisters and one younger brother. Some of my best memories include cooking and baking with my mom as well as fishing and riding dirtbikes/ATVs with my dad and brother.
