New Cardinal CSD teacher Hunter Heinle smiling in her car.

posted July 24, 2023

Hunter Heinle joins us this year to teach 1st grade. This is her first year of teaching, and we are so excited to have her on our team! We asked her some questions so you could get to know her a bit before the school year begins.

Why did you want to teach at Cardinal?
I wanted to teach at Cardinal because it has such a family feeling when you enter the building! Everyone is kind and welcoming, and I wanted to contribute to that feeling for others and my students!

What do you like about teaching 1st grade?
They are learning new things and so will I alongside them! I am forming how they will feel about school for the rest of their educational time, and I want to be the face of why they enjoy school.

What is your favorite part of teaching?
Being able to make a difference and seeing the smiles on students' faces!

What is your ultimate goal as a teacher?
I want to make my classroom a family, where all of my students feel welcome and like they can help anyone and everyone when they need it.

What do you hope students take away from your class this year?
I hope my students grow a love for reading as I have! I wish to make reading times as important as they should be and make them enjoyable for them!

Fun Facts/Hobbies:
I have two dogs. One is a Yorkie and his name is Ollie. And the other dog is an Irish Doodle and her name is Ada Mae. We love to take them on walks and to the lake to swim.

From our first interaction with the staff at Cardinal schools, we felt at home. The entire staff is amazing and we feel that we have a trusted partner in our children’s education. The greatest testament to their success is that our kids love going to school. There is nothing more welcoming as a parent than to have a school that you trust to take care of the most precious thing in your life. Cardinal School District does just that.
