COVID-19 Update - Keeping Cardinal Comets Safe
posted February 8, 2021
Our number one goal during the COVID-19 pandemic is to keep our students learning face to face. Cardinal CSD has not canceled school or moved into hybrid or virtual learning since we returned to in-person learning on August 23. 2020. This is a testament to our faculty, staff and students for coming together and embracing the importance of our COVID-19 mitigation strategies. I realize these strategies are inconvenient but our kids can't afford to miss any more learning opportunities with their teachers.
Cardinal CSD will not make any changes with regards to mitigation strategies at this point. Our six months of data collection tells us that what we are doing is working. We are keeping our staff and students safe while learning face to face every day. Cardinal CSD continues to focus on mental health support and supporting student nutrition while kids are at school.
I am proud of the Cardinal Community for coming together to make our campus safe for our students and staff. We hope that these inconveniences are short lived as we continue to stop the spread of COVID-19. Feel free to reach out to me with any questions or concerns by emailing me at joel.pedersen@cardinalcomet.com.
