Cardinal CSD and Gaggle Implement Student Safety Management Tool for G Suite for Education

Cardinal Community School District and Gaggle have announced a partnership to keep students safe when they use G Suite for Education. Cardinal CSD will use the Gaggle safety management solution for G Suite to proactively protect students and ensure that they are safely and correctly using school-provided digital tools.
"We are excited to implement another innovative technology tool that will allow us to keep our students safe and allow us to reach out to them if help is needed,” says Cardinal Superintendent Joel Pedersen. “Gaggle is a confidential platform where students can ask for help by email, phone or text.”
The Gaggle safety management solution uses a combination of artificial intelligence and trained safety experts to provide real-time analysis and review of students’ use of online tools within the G Suite.
It constantly scans accounts for harmful content and alerts school officials if students show signs of needing mental health assistance. With this solution, Cardinal CSD can proactively identify students who are struggling, provide support where needed and create a safer school environment.
“We have a ‘laser like’ focus on making sure all students and staff have access to mental health support,” Pedersen says. “We constantly remind our students that ‘No one fights alone’ when it comes to student safety and mental health awareness.”
