Stephanie Kisling

Stephanie Kisling

Cardinal Class of 2008

We are proud to honor Stephanie Kisling, a Cardinal graduate whose journey has taken her from Iowa to Vienna, Austria. After earning her Bachelor’s in Clarinet Performance and a Master’s in Interdisciplinary Studies, Stephanie now performs with ensembles in Vienna, where she lives with her husband and baby daughter.

She is also a Fulbright alum, having taught English in Austria through the prestigious program. Stephanie says that while she’s grateful for every opportunity, her greatest accomplishment is being a mom.

Congratulations, Stephanie! Your story is an inspiration to Comets everywhere.

Carol Streeby - Retired Teacher & Former School Board Member

Carol Streeby, a woman whose love, service, and dedication left an unforgettable mark on Cardinal and our community.

Carol graduated from Cardinal in 1970 and never stopped giving back. She taught Bible School, led Vacation Bible School, and organized food drives. That spirit of care and leadership carried over to Cardinal, where she became a cornerstone of the Cardinal Music Boosters and served on the school board. Whether she was running the concession stand at football games, organizing fundraisers and scholarships, or chaperoning student trips (including one to Nashville that students still talk about today), Carol gave her all with unmatched energy and kindness.

Carol’s life was marked by service, persistence, and a heart that never stopped caring for others. She wasn’t just a volunteer, a coach —she was family to this community. Though she passed in 2020, her legacy continues to shine through the students, families, and programs she poured her heart into.

Today, we celebrate Carol’s incredible contributions, her tireless love for Cardinal, and the lasting impact she left behind.

Once a Comet, always a Comet. Thank you, Carol.
