After Prom Information

 April 2, 2013

Dear Juniors, Seniors and Parents,

Prom 2013 is on April 20th and is approaching fast. Plans are being made for a fun-filled chemical free After-Prom party following the Prom. We want to let you know some of the things planned for the special evening.

The After-Prom party will be held in the Middle School gym and cafeteria. The party will start around 11:30 p.m. or as soon as the dance area has been cleaned up.

The After-Prom Committee would like your help to ensure your high school student has the best Prom ever. We are asking each Junior class parent to donate $ 10.00 toward the After Prom Party entertainment, food and prizes for the evening. Please send your money to Shelley Peters, Cardinal Junior Class Sponsor. We would also like to ask the Junior class parents to make a dessert, side dish donate a bag of chips or anything to go with their meal which will be sandwiches from Bubba Qs and Subway. They can be dropped off before the Grand March in the cafeteria.

Valet parking for the students will be provided at the BACK entrance of the school by the high school gym.

Shelley Peters will be sending out packets containing luggage tags, key tags, grand march tickets, and an information letter.

The Grand March will begin promptly at 7:15 p.m. Parents, if you are attending this please park in the FRONT parking lot.

Students attending the After-Prom will not be allowed to go to their cars between the dance and party. Once they leave, they will not be allowed back in. Rooms will be provided for changing clothes, and chaperones will be in these rooms to help organize, label gowns and tuxedos. If you have a bag for your tux or gown, please bring it with you.

Activities are still being planned but here is a list of what we are working on.

Mechanical Bull 2 Big Screens TVs w/Xbox & WII

Laser Tag Hypnotist

Cash Cube Various games

Wrecking Ball

Remember, without your help and support, there cannot be an After-Prom party! Our children are counting on us. We are looking for parents to help with the valet parking, luggage and keys, and the after prom activities. Any parent wishing to help please attend the After-Prom meeting scheduled for April 17th at 6:30 in the high school library. If you have any questions, please dont hesitate to call Missy Secrest 641-777-3480. Hope to see you there!!
