On Thursday, Cardinal started the first day of a two day Kuno Tablet rollout. The Android-based Kuno tablets will be given to all students in grades 6-12 with additional tablets made available to students in grades 3-5 in the classroom. The decision to go with a Kuno tablet instead of other technology options was based in part on a program called Curriculum Loft that allows teachers to push material and content to students through their tablet device and have access to it at home without an internet connection. The middle school and high school teachers have spent several professional development days this fall preparing for the rollout of the Kuno tablet and are prepared to start implementing them in their classrooms as soon as students receive their devices. As with any new initiative, there will be some transitional issues that will arise, but we feel when the Kuno tablets are fully implemented we are putting a powerful educational tool in the hands of our students and teachers.Click here to see pictures from today! |
