Originally from the Cedar Rapids area, I have been at Cardinal since 1979. I attended Indians Hills College in Centerville and William Penn College prior to starting at Cardinal.
Over the years I have taught mostly fifth grade with a couple of years teaching sixth grade as well. Several of my years here have been occupied with coaching involving baseball, basketball and softball.
My current positions at Cardinal are Athletic Director and Elementary Physical Education. The switch from the regular classroom to these areas has been very challenging, but rewarding in many ways too! We have terrific kids here at Cardinal. It is a pleasure to teach and coach them!
My wife Sheila and I have lived in the Cardinal district for over 14 years. Our two children, Jerred and Chelsea, have moved on and are doing great on their own. I also have two sisters and two brothers remaining from what once was a family of eight.
In my spare time I enjoy fishing and golfing mostly. I am also an avid Los Angeles Lakers fan and watch them whenever I can!
