Ch 15: Skeletal and Muscular Systems
Ch 16: Digestive System
Vocabulary:
- Egg laying mammal- pg. 367 mammals that lay eggs, also called monotremes
- Pouched mammal-pg.367 give birth to young that are not well developed, so they spend time in a pouchlike structure in their mother’s body. These mammals are also called marsupials.
- Placental mammal- pg. 367 the young of these animals develop more fully within the female
- Placenta-pg.371 structure through which developing mammals receive food and oxygen in the mother.
- Gestation period-pg 372 time the young takes to develop inside the mother
